Phone Cases
Next, we print 2-3 pictures on the platform to make sure the pictures are all showing fine. Then we put the phone cases in those rectangular boxes on the platform of the UV printer, with double-sided tapes at the bottom to fix the phone cases. And we set the carriage height, making sure that the printheads won't scratch the phone cases, the distance is about 2-3mm, taking into account that the plastic phone cases may swell a little bit under the UV lamp's heat.
T-shirts
This time, we don't print t-shirts only for samples, but for real use: the company group outing.
The machine we use is a DTG printer(direct to garment) which uses Dupont textile pigment ink, a kind of ink designed for cotton fabric products like t-shirts, jeans, socks, linen, hoodies, etc.
First, we need to prepare the white shirts which are in different sizes, then we get them in the DTG process one by one. We need to spray the pretreatment liquid on the T-shirts before heat pressing the area at 135℃ for 20 seconds. After that, the surface of the T-shirts should be fairly flat and smooth, good to print. We put the shirt on the table, fix it with a metal frame, and start printing.
The printing process lasts about 7mins, resolution of 1440dpi, high-speed bi-directional mode.
